Hospice
At Indiana University Health Hospice, we care for any person with a life-limiting illness and a life expectancy of six months or less. Accepting hospice care does not mean that a person has “given up.” Hope is found when a patient achieves the highest possible level of physical comfort, meaningfulness and peace of mind. IU Health Hospice is here by your side on this journey as you seek to live each day with hope and meaning.
Hospice Treatment
IU Health Hospice provides traditional and alternative services to help improve the quality of life for hospice patients. Our specially trained interdisciplinary team works with your doctor to provide pain management services as well as complementary, alternative treatments to fully focus on patient comfort, symptom/pain relief and improvement of quality of life.
Traditional Services
IU Health Hospice, with ongoing coordination with your physician, provides traditional hospice services focusing on symptom management and pain control. Traditional hospice care includes 24-hour on-call support and service. Hospice care services include nursing visits, respite care, pharmaceutical services, medical social work, spiritual care and counseling services. No one can prepare you for the feelings you will experience following the death of loved one.
